Sample

A finished exhibit, page by page.

Built from a fictional conversation between two people about a pickup schedule. Every element on these pages is one the generator produces, and each is named beside the page it appears on.

A real document, produced by the same chain as a paid export. It is an excerpt rather than the whole fictional case described below: 5 messages across one body page, which is enough to carry every part of the structure.

Message timestamps are expressed in the device's local time at export: America/New_York (UTC-4). All times in this document use a 24-hour clock.

The source archive is attached to this PDF. Recomputing its SHA-256 digest and obtaining the value above establishes that the file has not changed since this document was generated.

Part one

The certificate page

  • The full 64-character digest of the source archive, split across two lines so it can be read aloud and compared.
  • The source ZIP is attached inside the PDF, so the recipient recomputes the digest themselves rather than taking anyone’s word for it.
  • Counts and a date range, so a reader knows what the document claims to contain before reading any of it.
  • A declaration block to sign. ChatExhibits does not sign anything; the person producing the document does.

This page carries no Bates number. Numbering starts on the first page of the conversation, so the count a court sees matches the pages that were produced.

That works. I’ll let the school know.

Part two

The conversation

  • One message per numbered paragraph, so a specific line can be cited rather than a page.
  • Timestamps aligned in a column, senders in bold, nothing reworded.
  • A reviewed voice-note transcript sits in the thread, tied to the .opus file it came from.
  • A photo is referenced rather than inlined, which keeps the page count honest and the figure citable.

The footer carries the optional confidentiality legend on the left, the page count in the middle, and the Bates number on the right. The prefix, the start number and the counter width are all yours to set.

Part three

The Media Appendix

  • Photos and videos as numbered figures, each pointing back to the paragraph that referenced it.
  • Videos carry their first frame, their filename and their duration.
  • Voice notes are deliberately absent: their transcripts belong in the thread, not in an appendix.

Figures continue the same Bates sequence. The appendix is part of the production, not an attachment to it.
